Taborcillo Island (John Wayne Island)

Taborcillo Island or better known as "John Wayne Island" is a small island on the Pacific coast of Panama. Located about 40 kilometers from Panama City and 4 km from Punta Chame in the Capira district. This privileged island has 3.9 km of beautiful beaches located in the Panamanian Pacific.

 The island was owned for a time by American film actor John Wayne . After the actor's death in 1979, it passed into the hands of his heirs, who years later sold it to a Swiss group and they in turn sold it to the current owners.
